China New Year 2019
Spring Festival is the most famous holiday in China. In 2019, we start the CNY from Feb 4th to Feb 19th (Spring Festival and Lantern Festival). It’s interesting that China have 12 zodiac animal sign. And 2019 is Pig sign year.
Including Rat/Ox/Tiger/Rabbit/Dragon/Snake/Horse/Sheep/Monkey/Rooster/Dog/Pig. Chinese believe it could forsee the future and even help them find the soulmate. It’s similar to Twelve constellations.
Back to Spring Festival, as you known, China is a country with 1.3 billion population.
It’s hard to buy the tickets during CNY. All the people will come back to hometwon in CNY For reunion meal with their family.
In New Year’s Eve, everyone put on the new clothes, the parents will give the kids lucky bag with money. It means may the lucky and health will be full of year.
In the renuion meal, people eat the dumplings, some people even put a coin in dumpling. The person who eat the coin would be the most lucky man and good luck all the year.
After the renuion meal, it’s amazing there have fireworks, lion dance and lantern date everywhere.
Spring Festival is a meaningful holiday for Chinese. In this day, you can see your family who you didn’t see for long time, you can take the dinner with them together, you can throw out all the bad and new start.
